August 06 at 01:28PM Twitter and Facebook Down at the Same Time
You really don't realize how disconnected you become when both Twitter and Facebook go down until they both do, and at the same time. This morning I was greeted with "server not responding" errors for both sites, and downforeveryoneorjustme.com confirmed both sites were down as well. And these sites aren't just down for maintenance, they are down hard, not displaying any sort of explanation or 500 error page. There's nobody online on any of the chat services I use either, so it's been difficult to confirm if this is just a localized issue. At any rate, this is certainly an interesting turn of events.

So I was checking out bing.com's about page and I noticed that they were blatantly ripping off the key design element on dragoninteractive.com, a site I have a lot of respect for. I wonder if they know this? This is super tacky for a company as big as MS to do. Of course, maybe the paid for licensing, but somehow I doubt it.
